OneNote sync errors on Mac/server connection errors - Microsoft Community

i have been having intermittent sync errors on onenote mac installation (office 365 app) few months now. recently, app quit syncing entirely no matter how many times sign in. error messages vary, when given code, it's typically "error code: 0xe0000024". here troubleshooting steps i've taken far:

• verified internet connection functional
• verified can access notebooks through onenote.com without issue
• (in app) closed each notebook , reopened -- failed
• logged out of each connected account (i have personal onedrive account , onedrive business/sharepoint account both connected), , re-logged both -- failed
• alternated between personal , business primary signon -- failed
• created new notebook in app -- failed
• created new microsoft onedrive account , logged in app primary -- failed
• uninstalled , reinstalled app -- failed
• deleted relevant container , keychain files/entries, emptied trash , restarted -- failed
• deleted relevant container , keychain files/entries, uninstalled app, emptied trash, restarted, reinstalled app -- failed
• completely uninstalled , deactivated microsoft office (used method described microsoft support full uninstallation), , reinstalled fresh copy microsoft.com  -- failed
• verified automatic proxy detection & authentication not activated in system network settings
• verified system firewall deactivated

given situation, suggest first backup notebook , copy sections not been synced, , close notebook.

next, open online notebook, resync new notebook in local, , paste not synced section in new notebook.

it resync notebook.
