Onedrive for Business Sync Problems - Microsoft Community

hi everyone, changing discussion rather question, if learned support, skype, have programmed answers out of world.

i seem continuously getting sync errors onedrive business.

"we couldn't find file on server."

i checked file in portal, , surprise there. why awful program unable sync changes files?

why notifications limited in feedback point wondering why company wasting money terrible application , nonsense services?

i wish add insult injury here, searching online solutions, , people suggest? repair.

i mean, how stupid think people create duplicate folder in user profile increment number @ end.

even, worse, software attempts sync whole drive pc!!!! why??? our internet connection pleasure?

every time repairs or drive because of sync problems, connection drops. our company has whole terra byte sitting in cloud service, becoming nuisance replicating increment in our profiles , wasting our disk space leisure.

only have more sync errors in future. had fill excruciating pain of managing sync problems.

i have google drive , dropbox both installed along second rate onedrive personal, , suppose surprised none of them cause problems.

so dear dollar-grubbing whatchamacallit, please fix rubbish piece of service/code , allow techies feedback why won't find our files on server. if file corruption, file duplicates different timestamps, password expiry, read-only open file, whatever think can conjure, please let error explain more.

i mean, can physically go check , find files, why can't broken drive find them well? if files not on cloud , in onedrive business folder, why not upload them cloud? know why? or love tick heck out of online experience?

as representative in company, make no effort in advising users hook abomination. let them know @ own risk because can't seem understand why sync errors occur. no feedback, , no reasons failure.

1. the detailed reproduce steps how error message appears. example, open office program>file>open>select onedrive sync folder>select file in onedrive sync folder>error message appears “we couldn’t find file on server”.
2. does issue happen specific file or files?
3. please refer which onedrive sync client using? see if using new onedrive sync client. if not using new onedrive sync client, suggest started new onedrive sync client in windows.
4. is file stored in onedrive business/personal onedrive/sharepoint library?

in meantime, narrow down issue, can follow steps below:

1. to check if related file, try open file online see if can open online without issue.
2. if issue happens specific file, try delete online server, rename file re-upload see result.
3. refer restrictions , limitations when sync files , folders, check if there’s hit onedrive sync limitations.

as issue, convert discussion question , try fix it.
