how to re-enable Windows Defender?? on the insider preview - Microsoft Community

hello microsoft , developers

i have disabled windows defender through registry , gpedit.msc

how re enable entire program ?? want scan program infections left behind because of ccleaner malware

try running command line @ elevated command prompt:

 

reg delete "hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows defender" /v disableantispyware

if have third-party av app installed, there shouldn’t need uninstall it. once you’ve removed disableantispyware entry, should able turn on limited periodic scanning , perform full scan.
