Excel slow to open on local session - Microsoft Community

hi all,

every time try open excel there 10-20 second delay before happens. happens whether open excel on it's own or clicking on spreadsheet.

once excel open, there no delay open files through file -> open, there still delay open files clicking on them normally.

the strange part? happens on local sessions, when physically using computer. when logged in remotely using remote desktop, excel opens instantly.

does have ideas on causing this? appreciated.

thanks

edit: found issue!

'asus sonic suite 3' appears culprit. disabling program through task manager -> startup (and restarting pc) has fixed problem , excel (and other office applications) starting instantly again!

lo , behold, issue gone. played around bit more figure out program causing issue, , seem have found it:

asus sonic suite 3.

disabling program through task manager -> startup (and restarting pc) has fixed issue, , excel (and other office applications) starting instantly again.
