Continuum will not detect external monitor on connecting to 950XL - Microsoft Community

continuum not detect external monitor on connecting 950xl using wired connection.

when in continuum app, there no 'connect' button when selecting wired dock radio button. there no 'blue' notification @ top of screen. stuck @ connection type selection screen.

the microsoft display adapter shows white led, phone beeps showing connected, usb mouse visible on phone, monitor - connected dock display port - not detected. using power adapter supplied dock.

i have made sure cables connected properly, , have restarted dock , phone trying connection monitor. nothing happening.

everything date - have checked updates.

this first time have tried use continuum. bought phone , dock last october still in warranty period. returning phone warranty fix camera module (wavy screen , clicking sound  - assume auto focus issue), perhaps should return dock not working well?

• have checked continuum firmware updates?
• have tried restarting phone , repeated installation procedure?
• which type of adapter using?
