Bluetooth only connects with 25% of my devices - Microsoft Community

on march 9, 2017 purchased microsoft lumia 550 windows store because desired os continuity between mobile , home computing devices. couple days after receiving phone ordered bluetooth headphones , speaker, sometime before may phone software updated, since use headphones , continued functioning, couple of weeks had passed before discovered speaker no longer connect. didn't consider failure due other speaker itself. used cable connect still without problem, plus gained use of equalizer using headphone jack. today received rather expensive obd ii code reader vehicles use bluetooth connectivity relaying sensor data phone , 2 applications on phone , pc. neither vehicle connect, purchased second application because first app informed me did not bluetooth on phone. yet type exceedingly "question" soothed sounds groove music producing through aforementioned headphones.

my lumia 550 has:

os build 10.0.15063.483

version 1703

firmware revision 01078.00042.16352.50005

hardware revision 2.0.1.0

and have removed bluetooth devices including odb ii restarted phone, re-install odb ii , restarted phone again. uninstalled first app, restarted, purchased second app , performed actions of prior sentence no avail; except headphones still work
