An error caused a change in the current set of domain controllers - Microsoft Community


so wanted set out of office mailbox via powershell - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638217(v=exchg.160).aspx

i tried following command 

set-mailboxautoreplyconfiguration -identity tony -autoreplystate enabled -internalmessage "internal auto-reply message." -externalmessage "external auto-reply message."  

and got result;

i'm concerned because mentions changing domain controllers. 

what has caused message , should concerned?

from screenshot, should not connect exchange online via powershell admin account firstly. please try again via following steps:

  1. connect exchange online office 365 admin account.
  2. set-mailboxautoreplyconfiguration -identity <identity> -autoreplystate enabled -internalmessage "internal auto-reply message." -externalmessage "external auto-reply message."
