Remove memory unit from Lumia 1020, power up, and recover data - Microsoft Community

hi, all.

my lumia 1020 has died abruptly in past day , goes no further 'cannot find bootable option' screen.

i've read choices -- attempt factory reset using combined buttons, or use windows device recovery tool re-install software -- attempt recover data rather overwrite it. willing forego trying revive phone, remove memory , try access data on external drive, in same way take hard drive dying pc , connect external unit pc.

how do this? have found videos on youtube showing how take phone apart. how power memory after extraction , connect pc?

grateful advice or recommendations.

solution fault new motherboard. not believe can extract data in manner want attempt it.
