Adjusting numbers on an export - Microsoft Community

i'm familiar adjusting numbers exports, 1 has me stumped! add helper column , easy formula of cell times 1 force number can use. export schwab , cannot figure out why won't work. format "general" , can change "number" , doesn't work. we've tried doing conditional formatting multiply 1 , didn't work. pasted 1 column of numbers brand new worksheet in case there table or something, , didn't work. wish attach excel file here see, can't because numbers confidential account numbers, , give dummy numbers instead can't because typing number fixes problem , can vlookup off of it. don't want have type thousand account numbers export every day in order usable. ideas on do?

there hidden blanks or non-printing characters in data. put in helper column see if works:

=trim(clean(a2))
