Win 10 Home & IE11: Microsoft populates blank tab with - Microsoft Community

i'm running win 10 home , internet explorer 11 (ie11).  i've set ie11 open blank page when start (using about:blank in internet options home page), and, until recently, new tab blank also.  after update kb4025339, first tab when open ie11 still blank, new tabs open populated microsoft's choice of tiles, news, weather , on - garbage don't want see.  can click on home tab  , tab reset blank.  that's not point: since have tab set in ie11 blank, why should need to do anything in first place?  and, how can modify 'something' rid of annoying undocumented feature microsoft has chosen implement? i've checked options available in settings, , there appears option 'hide news feed'.

your concern needs further investigation can identify cause of issue. suggest resetting internet explorer's settings default condition , enable opening of new tab display blank page again , see if has same issue. see image below reference:
