in "section e" read "let's assume spelling correction options set highlight misspelt words , automatically correct them."

but, don't have options set (win7 ie11). spelling correction seems to come auto-correction. there no way enable highlight misspelt words without correcting them automatically. annoying.

in word option available under proofing > automatically use suggestions spelling checker.

as owner of thread post came says, different versions , builds of windows may different. features of internet explorer windows 7 differs windows 10. thread post came windows 10 , not windows 7. applies between office word , internet explorer. spelling , grammar checker works differently between applications. suggest upgrading windows 10 latest features computer.
