Excel 2010 leaving strange lines and borders when editing cells - Microsoft Community

this started week ago (probably after auto update). when editing cells in excel on windows 10, there lines around whole row, thick border placed around whole row. each row edit creates same border, , wont clear until go different tab or scroll down. know if problem recent windows update or else, , fix?

we have few things we'd ask clarify case:

  • are using excel 2010 or 2016? thread categorized under excel 2016 , instructions each version may vary.
  • can replicate on other excel files?
  • have tried manually removing them? if yes, results?

for meantime, please try repairing excel , see if issue gets fixed.

we'll waiting response.
