Office 365 Support & Recovery Tool won't allow me to sign on - Microsoft Community

i trying resolve email display issue , run office 365 support & recovery tool. 

i cannot sign in account because office 365 won't allow gmail email. 

please note allowed me sign account. 

this blowing mind stuck on seems ridiculous. 

i'm sure many have felt way. 

please advise if knows how resolve.

correct, troubleshooting tool needs office 365 work/school account (like *** email address removed privacy ***/contoso.com, use activate office client), not microsoft account (like *** email address removed privacy ***).

can post issue in our forum , our support engineer provide expert , give corresponding suggestions.
or, try login using office 365 account. (if cannot find office 365 account, try free trial)
