Office 2016 - not working and can't register - Microsoft Community

i have licensed copy of office 2016.  working , stopped ("can't run on pc").

i ran modify , repair options, both quick , download.  have unregistered version download repair, note use quick repair, i've done several times (each time, says product fixed).

as product unregistered, i've tried register.  "options" in each product disabled, occassionally prompt activation, online activation option available.

when run this, error:

"we couldn't contact server.  please try again in few minutes.  (0x80072f8f)"

this error code not appear on internet searches solutions.  "few minutes" doesn't seem matter, each time stops here.

1. right click on product icon excel or word > run administrator , try activate.

2. try activate through telephone
