De-dupe across multiple columns - Microsoft Community

i have 1 spreadsheet 3 columns in containing telephone numbers - database. have spreadsheet containing 3 columns telephone numbers in - de-dupe list.
i want highlight telephone numbers appear in of 3 columns in database, appear in de-dupe list, can delete rows these numbers feature in.
the telephone number might in first column in database, second or third in de-dupe list.
is there way in excel?
i combining 3 telephone number columns in de-dupe list 1 column (manually) , running seperate vlookup each telephone number column in database against this, there large volumes of data , isn't ideal.
any advice appreciated!
the conditional formatting mentioned in last post was based on assumption both worksheets in same workbook. but seems 2 worksheets in separate workbooks.
using conditional formatting reference workbook won't work. however, can still use conditional formatting highlight cells if create links cells in de-dupe list on database spreadsheet, , use conditional formatting compare against linked cells.
