Creating an Access template or empty database - Microsoft Community

i've tried both importing database objects new database , creating template existing database, option not "import data" checked in either case. in both cases data still populated database. don't understand i'm doing wrong or how fix it. have fact it's split database?

if it's split database, data resides in backend. if you're creating new database or template frontend, linking backend database that's there. if want create database no data in it, need create new, empty backend database , link frontend it; creating new frontend neither necessary nor beneficial!

what's context? users doing new empty database?
