CustomUI Disappears When File is Saved in Excel Mobile - Microsoft Community

has else found customui xml removed whenever file saved on android mobile excel? know functionality xml brings never work on mobile version, surely xml can retained?

i'm finding it's reproducible:

  1. on desktop version of excel add xml (using example customui editor) add example new ribbon group workbook, , test , save macro enabled workbook
  2. if temporarily change file extension .xlsm .zip, , open winzip, see there's folder called customui present in archive, while holds xml ribbon group
  3. either copy or sync file web location (i'm using onedrive)
  4. from there access file android phone using mobile version of excel
  5. make change excel workbook , save
  6. copy or sync file desktop
  7. you find ribbon group gone, , if change extension .zip see customui folder has disappeared

is known issue? can't find mention anywhere.
