CAN'T EDIT DOCUMENTS ON MAC DESKTOP AFTER ACTIVATION OFFICE 365 - Microsoft Community

i installed office 365 on mac desktop , after activating using non-profit license, tells me cannot edit documents on mac machines , viewing documents allowed. advises contact admin sorted. admin , have checked settings , couldn't find option says permit editing on mac or windows machines. kindly confirm if microsoft non-profit license organisations allows editing  documents on mac pcs. thanks
