Edge using massive amounts of memory - Microsoft Community

when use edge, laptop slows crawl.  typing 1 letter takes couple seconds appear. clicks take lo ng produce result, too.

i5-52000 cpu @2.20ghz

4 gb ram

x64

windows 10 home 1703, build 15063.729

edge major problem, ie11 resource hog.  if have neither running, computer much, faster. 

i've tried resetting edge, there no such reset feature under start>settings>apps. edge not listed.

any hints , tips speed computer up?  no: i'm not going start using chrome.

internet explorer has own reset inside.

or else, toggle ie off , on again in windows features, uninstall , reinstall.
