Office 365 Excel Conditional Formatting issue - Duplicate Check

hi,

i have been trying use conditional formatting highlight duplicates check in 365 , previous version of office little success.

i have 2 columns of values approx 45k rows in each column.

the duplicate values highlighted quickly, grinds halt click filter dropdown filter non highlighted values.

it can hang machine on 10 minutes every time or crashes completely. happens on different laptops different versions of office.

very frustrating.

can please advise how resolve issue.

based on description, need confirm if try following steps filter it:

1. select number.

2. click home>select conditional formatting>click highlight cells rules>select duplicate values…

3. select title>custom sort cell color.

4. sort it.

if issue still exists, please provide following information?

1. excel version. (open excel>select file>click account)

2. check if issue occurs when create new file.

3. affected file. need reproduce issue.
