let me preface answer explaining visual basic editor mac exists in office mac going replaced soon, answer based on exists in excel version 15.37, not apply when new editor released @ point yet determined in future.
i'll bold wrote, , comment it.
from worksheet, press alt + f11 ( careful, that's alt + f11)
yep, works! opens vb editor
next press ctrl+g
the existing editor doesn't know keyboard shortcuts. have right click on project , choose insert > module, navigate resulting folders open module 1.
type in (or copy here , paste): application.commandbars("cell").reset
the commandbars collection disaster in office 2016. reset command fail. kind of pop-up menu attempting achieve called context menu. excel mvp ron debruin explains how them work in every version of excel on page:
https://www.rondebruin.nl/win/s6/win001.htm
press alt+q return worksheet.
on mac, press command+q
if set context menus using ron's advice, should work fine.
