i've been customising gantt chart template suit needs , edited 'period' (now 'days')values dates. after did that, formulas fill cells according plan start, actual start etc don't work. i've had @ conditional formatting i'm not sure why isn't formatting cells, , i've had @ name manager.
any help? i've attached picture of workbook give bit of insight i'm doing.

since template format’s conditional formatting set numbers not dates, can’t changed easily. if need date format, suggest create new 1 , quick , easier.
you can follow steps below.
1. type data want , use custom cell format d/m/yyyy type dates.
2. in d2, type formula =c2-b2 duration day.
3. select d2:d11 copy formula.
4. in e2, type formula =if(and(e$1>=$b2,e$1<=$c2),"x","") , type enter.
5. type dates e1:bk1.
6. select e2:bk11 copy formula.
7. select cells e1:bk1>home>conditional formatting>highlight cells rules>equal to>x>format bar color.
