Windows 10 update & Edge - Microsoft Community

following last windows 10 update (11/08/17) microsoft edge not work.  starts displays blank screen , if try type address bas closes.

is known about? next update fix it?  alternatively how fix it?

there lot of factors need consider why issue occurs. if you're having problem microsoft edge after update, might able fix issues reinstalling browser. here's how:

1. on search bar, type file explorer , press enter.
2. click on view , check hidden items box view hidden folders.
3. navigate following location: c:\users\username\appdata\local\packages (replace username user name.)
4. look microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder , select delete.
5. close running apps , restart pc.
6. launch powershell administrator.

7. navigate user account's directory executing following command:

cd c:\users\yourusername (replace yourusername actual username of account.)

8. finally, copy , paste following command in prompt , press enter.

get-appxpackage -allusers -name microsoft.microsoftedge | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register “$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -verbose}

9. restart pc.
