given ms has pulled support , updates windows 8.1 lumia phones, still safe continue using banking app, , if so, how long?

(i contacted bank on this, , instructed me contact ms, hence question here)

any advice appreciated.

don't see how should change regarding banking apps best defense strong pin or password apps windows phones' beit 8.1 or 10 still pretty hack proof
