How to trouble-shoot a #value! error when running a - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have coded user-defined function in vba under excel 2016 , compiled successfully. now, when executing function in cell, #value! error. have double-checked values used arguments run function consistent types of function parameters declared in code. excel , trouble-shooting mechanisms of no resolve issue.

i must admit beginning , these times vba.

any welcome.

in vbe, on menu, under tools | options | general (tab) ...
 checkmark "break on errors" , run code.

code stop @ code line causing error.
@ point can highlight variables , click 'eyeglasses' button determin values in use.
