Mobile to laptop notifications - Microsoft Community

i have more 1 mobile device connected(wireless) laptop. though have changed name of each device , displayed in bluetooth settings not in notification settings. when receive notification either device appear under same title of mobile device , not separated name or device. have same problem when sending sms laptop laptop connect , send sms using both devices.(lumia 930 , lumia 640) sending sms twice.  how can solve this? thank you

issue you're experiencing might due variety of reasons 1 due hardware problems.

having said that, please provide answers following able learn more concern:

• is windows 10 updated?
  
• are drivers up-to-date? if not, can follow steps found on link on how update drivers in windows 10.
  
• have tried disconnecting devices, reconnecting them again? if yes, did same issue?
  
• have tried checking mobile devices if showing same device name?
  
• have tried connecting same mobile phones
  

in meantime, can run hardware , devices troubleshooter , network adapter troubleshooter on laptop find , repair problems devices , hardware.

1. right-click start icon, select control panel.
   
2. choose large icons option view by drop down list found on upper-right part of control panel window.
   
3. locate select troubleshooting.
   
4. click view all left pane.
   
5. locate , click hardware , devices/network adapter to run troubleshooter follow next steps.
   

to make sure you're not experiencing account specific issue, kindly create administrator account , observe if issue still present.

let's see if same issue persists when pc in safe mode. starting pc in safe mode can troubleshoot problems on pc while using limited set of files , drivers. here's how set pc in safe mode networking:

1. press windows + i key keyboard launch settings.
   
2. select update & security, recovery.
   
3. click restart now button under advanced startup.
   
4. select troubleshoot when choose option screen.
   
5. select advanced options, startup settings.
   
6. click restart.
   
7. select 5 or press f5 key keyboard after pc restarts start pc in safe mode networking.
   

let know happens after following above mentioned troubleshooting steps.
