Problems with permissions when sharing from ODFB - Microsoft Community

hi

i noticing wrong behavior in sharing links , permissions.

first problem, have made a sharing link ppt file external user, specific person require login. if choose edit, or turn off, same link. doesnt matter if select edit or not, user gets option edit, i.e. open in browser, open in ppt, download etc.

second problem similar. if share entire folder, not specific people, guest link. if choose either can edit, or not, same result happens. guest can open folder, see files, , can edit each file.

so in both cases, users can edit files when don't check box.

first, explain users can download file when uncheck edit option.

however, if uncheck edit option, couldn’t edit file on onedrive.

 

about “sharing specific person, links same”.

based on test, right. didn’t effect feature, if share file uncheck edit option,

the user couldn’t edit file.
