"From Other Sources" in Excel vs "From Other Sources" - Microsoft Community

i can data source using "from other sources" in excel using connectivity wizard cannot same within data model. assuming if can in 1 area should able in other area. trying understand differences between 2 drop-down options similar not same.

any guidance or insights appreciated.
