Access 2007 - not recognising files

i have ms-o 2007 prof. access running on w7

i have been given .accdb files created on mso 2007, 2013, 2016 (the chaps computer crashed)

when try open of these files following error message "unrecognised database format {filename}"

my w7 date.

is there else can try?

the .accdb files contain lots of queries, forms , reports , take days try , recreate.
