If command - date interval - Microsoft Community

hi all,

i'm trying use if commando give text output based on date. have proposed code here, comes false..

=if((and(h12>="01-04-2017";h12<"01-07-2017"));"q2 2017";)

could perhaps date format wrong? date entered ex 01-apr-2017, have tried using both formats vithout resolving.
