i have excell worksheet 35,000 rows , 3 columns sorting use index , starting give message "microsoft not responding" , told may data overload???  
  is there solution i.e. should divide sheet 2 or more smaller sheets?
                       
                after hit ctrl + end find last cell of data, need highlight of rows after 35,000 (where actual data ends) , including the last row ctrl + end finds you.
    you clicking , dragging mouse on row numbers, right-click in range , select delete.  
    i'd save file after doing this.
    then hit ctrl + end again find last column of data. repeat above, time columns. save again. after this, if hit ctrl + end again, should take last cell in column 3 has data (assuming 35,000 based on   initial comment)
