combo box format if null not working - Microsoft Community

greetings,

i've searched solution problem below no avail.

i'm using @;"enter text here" in format property of combo box in order display "enter text here" in combo box when no selection has been made.  

the row source property combo box is:  1;"choice 1";2;"choice 2";3;"choice 3".

on same form, format @;\depth displaying "depth" in combo box when no choice has been made column full of numbers.

on same form, format @;"enter part type" displaying "enter part type" in text box when no data has been entered.

why these 2 examples functioning expected, while first not?

tried duplicating scenario, , first combobox showed "enter text here" if nothing selected, , when made selection, deleted , tabbed next combobox.

perhaps try copying second combobox , format how want first combobox show , see if works. oddity first combobox.
