YouTube videos will not play on Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Community

system: dell xps 8700, windows 10 pro

problem:

youtube videos cannot played using microsoft edge.  works fine using firefox , ie.

background:

dell techs have been unable fix problem.  because edge works (will play youtube videos) using wife’s account (but not mine) on same computer, dell suggested user account settings may corrupted , should create new account solve problem.

adobe site shows flash player working properly.  tried troubleshooting steps at:

https://forums.adobe.com/docs/doc-8541

observation: proposed solutions dell & adobe did not work.  evening, did create new account , edge once again browser not play youtube videos.

ciao, please try following: first press combo 1) open internet explorer 2) click on gear (top right), internet options 3) choose advanced 4) scroll down "use software rendering instead gpu rendering" 5) check it, click ok, restart computer please let know if works. ciao ugo
