OneNote for Business: Ink to text using an Ipad? - Microsoft Community

hi everyboday

i got following setup

  • onenote on ipad (ios app) for notebook entries , sketches
  • windows pc (onenote desktop app) to organise files , attach project documents

is possible to use "ink text" in windows deskop app convert ipad handwriting in text? (i know ink text not yet exist ios app). in case, isn't. marking text passage , clicking "ink text" does not change , opens no window. yet, "ink math" working - quite confusing.

if "yes -it should possible". how solve problem?

if "no - using ipad input can't transformed". chance of updates or other workarounds?

the “ink text” works onenote 2016 windows.

reference: take handwritten notes in onenote 2016 windows.

and works fine side steps below:

  1. draw > write words on notebook page
  2. open notebook in onenote 2016 windows
  3. draw > ink text

is handwriting in english? proofing language set english? try switch proofing language english several times see result.

write words more see if there's difference. 

if issue persists, issue have, please provide information below our investigation:

  1. what’s onenote version? can go file>account>product information check it. example: 1708(8431.2031)
  2. what’s windows os version? example, 1709?
