OneNote Sync Error - Microsoft Community


i receiving sync error on onenote class notebook. re-syncing not resolve issue (neither forcing manual re-sync). error message receiving: we're sorry, went wrong during sync. we'll try again later. (error code: 0xe000002e). occurs on subfolder within collaboration space; other folders seem syncing fine.

please advise.

first, i'd confirm whether problematic notebook stored on onedrive business or sharepoint online document library.

 

if yes, please try navigating onedrive business folder or sharepoint document library in web browser check whether can open notebook in onenote online.

 

if so, please try closing problematic notebook in onenote first, click open in onenote button in onenote online open notebook in onenote , check whether sync error exists.

 

second, if sync error persists after steps above, regarding "this occurs on subfolder within collaboration space", please try copying problematic sections or pages  to check if error appears. if error disappears, can delete old sections or pages , use new 1 instead.

 

if above can't help, confirm information investigation:

  1. a screenshot of error message.
  2. does sync issue happen other notebooks? if create new notebook, can sync it?
  3. does issue exist if switch different internet connection?
  4. a screenshot of onenote product information, check file tab>account.
  5. is notebook stored on onedrive business or sharepoint document library? can other people sync same notebook without error?
