Deleting contacts from Access - Microsoft Community

hello everyone, use access database regularly in work.  have backed database external hardrive , need delete old contacts on original db on pc.  however, noticed when checked external backup contact had been deleted there dont need happen.

does know of way delete contacts db on pc without effecting backed copy on external hardrive?

you're doing dangerous: working access without being in complete control of configuration.

you appear have linked tables pointing external hard drive. must aware of such configuration. linked table manager show you, , allow re-link be. in more sophisticated applications there can code in startup code handle re-linking, check well.
