Wibdows not updating automatically on Lumia 950 XL phone - Microsoft Community

hello, have lumia 950 xl phone. skype stopped working couple of days ago. upon checking online resources, came understand os build on phone older version. tried update each time message says "you have latest software". however, don't think correct. details - version 1511, os build 10.0.10586.218. firmware revision 01078.00038.16025.39012, hardware revision 4.0.3.1.

i not able update latest windows mobile build. hence unable install skype.

please resolve both issues. thanks

i assuming not running insider build on device (you did not indicate were) , have standard build non-insider phones.

so try update using wi-fi connection. might try rebooting (power off power on), connect strong wi-fi , check updates via settings/update & security /phone update
