OneDrive for Business sync duplication - Microsoft Community


hello,

i have company o365 account , using onedrive business related it. 1 day onedrive stopped syncing 'onedrive business - mycompany' folder , right click functions disappeared too. when tried go repair, thing happened onedrive created new onedrive business file explorer icon , started sync things cloud.

my issue don't understand why happened more importantly new onedrive folder reflect have in cloud , not latest versions of things have in other folder. since had huge number of new files , edits on place there's no chance me manually copy things new folder.

please let me know how recover this.

from description, seems using onedrive business 2016 sync files old version client.

 

for better user experience, suggest follow steps set , use new onedrive sync client instead see outcome.

1. if can stop sync, click stop sync in onedrive business 2016 icon stop sync of sync folders , delete them. moreover, can download files backup , remove sync old sync folders.

2. set new onedrive sync client , enable sharepoint sync.

3. use new sync client sync files.
