can edge stop playing videos automatically? rather click on them when want them play.

that's not edge controls.  person made webpage gets decide scripts on page.  edge expected "autoplay video blocker" ability override obnoxious web creators, until might consider turning off adobe flash inside edge, or seeing if there extension job you.
