upgrading to a newer OS .... specifically 1) permissions 2) - Microsoft Community

greetings:

i'm sure there lot of various opinions on whether upgrade os, example, windows 7 pro windows ten. , many opinions against. wondering this: until windows stops providing updates , patches particular os, 1 fine keeping os , comfortable with?

i have 1 real issue windows 7 pro , "permissions." don't have enough patience nor want mess around them. , of course, mess up. now, have go geek squad because in downloading hp drivers , software etc. did , section of windows explorer can't access downloads , rather walk on nails deal permissions. it's confusing , convoluted. read it, tried fix want yank hair.

also, thing have trouble networking , "sharing." 1 uses notebook, personal use, , there nobody needs or , not let use anyway , there no network. wonder if having these capabilities make computer less secure?

after burglary, had buy notebook fast , got hp probook off shelf (as opposed having luxury of time around online, compare, browse , put customize) because computer , related stuff stolen in burglary. otherwise, doubt have bought professional version of windows 7.

my pavilion windows xp sp2.

i loved xp.  think 1 of best os ever. i'll bet whole lot of people devastated when windows stopped supporting it.

i wondering if windows ten home version (if there distinction) personal use (ie: none of permissions, sharing, etc).

if not that, quite happy windows 7 pro, have 64 bit.

i interested in knowing if has thoughts or suggestions share.

i had 1 windows phone, also. easy , i'll bet have pretty phones. issue privacy , security. hate problem of if log 1 google account such email, you've logged of them. has caused huge problem me far hacking phone. , 3 weeks ago, google forced update j7 galaxies , god altered everything, font, way phone works. phone personal thing. once have set way like, nobody wants alter anything. patches, upgrades 1 thing, changing of thing , how , plus damaged battery. know windows same thing don't remember when had windows phone.

well, thanks.
