Edge stopped working - is there an up to date link with all the fixes - Microsoft Community

i going around in circles trying edge work.  i have windows 10 desktop date on winsows updates.  i using standard windows defender , windows firewall rather 3rd party protection software.  edge used work, when open edge, nothing happens - blank white screen line search box @ top of screen, , edge disappears after around 5 seconds.  same if type url or website name in search box @ top when opens.  same if enter "clear browsing data" in "settings" menu.  in each case, window edge has opened in closes.

there various suggestions in different places.  i have tried following ways seem main things suggested, no success:

1. running sfc /scannow administrator in command window.  this runs , reports no issues.

2. deleting microsoft.microsoftedge folder users.....appdata , re-installing powershell using command this: 

get-appxpackage -allusers -name microsoft.microsoftedge | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register “$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -verbose} 

i have done several times makes no difference.

3. running these commands administrator 

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

these commands run no issues, @ end of there no change how edge works.

4. starting in safe mode , trying various repair options in there.

my online bank has installed called ibm trusteer endpoint protection.  this seemed cause problems edge few years back, ibm website claims 2 should work together.

i keep coming variants of above suggestions, of posts dating 2 years or more, unclear "state of art" , if trying things no longer work, or fixes have been superseded.  is there recent / current link of things try fix edge in windows 10 in 1 place?  is there else should try?

i'm afraid "fail".  tried suggested understand in links , threads , nothing worked.  wasn't prepared reinstall windows 10 browser worked, , led discovering opera, works well, , doesn't crash , filters out adverts rather well.  irritation pop-up boxes microsoft telling me how more secure, better , quicker opera or chrome edge be!

until.....

today did big windows 10 update came out @ end of december 2017 , works again.  whatever has been fixed update.
