Windows 10, Excel addin error on file opening - Microsoft Community

upon reopening excel file connection add-in link is no longer recognized. error message received, '(file link), not found. check spelling of file name, , verify file location correct.' upon subsequently trying run macro clicking established quick link receives, "cannot run macro (macro name). macro may not available in workbook or macros may disabled." accessing manage office add-ins screen shows add-in active correct file location. reestablishing link gets message "a file named '(shows correct file link)' exists in location. want replace it? clicking yes reestablishes link , works. but, saving, closing file , reopening gives same error messages again.
