Cross platform collaboration on Excel spreadsheet? - Microsoft Community

hello,

i working contract cfo on financial projections. has created spreadsheet both need update periodically. best 1 of host spreadsheet in cloud, , share other make sure we're both working same document. 

what best way that? i'm on mac, he's on pc. have onedrive account.

are wanting collaborate using excel client? if yes, not possible between mac users , windows users.  the feature available windows users using office 365 subscription within following excel versions:

insider fast channel: march 28, 2017 build 16.0.8017.1000.

insider slow/first release current channel: july 17, 2017 build 16.0.8326.2033

 

for feature, suggest share same in user voice. features updated based on customers' constructive comments. understanding.

 

however, feasible collaborate using excel online. upload excel workbook onedrive , share cfo, can that.

 

if misunderstood, please correct me. also, let me know onedrive mentioned personal onedrive or onedrive business.
