yes, how office 365 works.

office 365 "myaccount" system allows have 1 type of office 365 "consumer" license associated our email account. when activate new license/product key subscription switches type.

ms has said convert remaining subscription time on old 365 home or personal subscription new one. @ 1 point there conversion ratio personal home, last reports saw said personal time converted home time @ 1:1 ratio.

365 university consumer license, treated differently home , personal. last reports saw switching or 365 university wiped out remaining time on previous subscription.
