Can't update from build 16199(Fast Ring) to build - Microsoft Community

hi, want switch slow ring getting issues pc, dont want upgrade fast ring build. when try upgrade latest slow ring build i.e. 16232, getting error code- '• windows 10 insider preview 16232.1000 (rs_prerelease) - error 0x80070057'. tried everything, dsim tools, sfc/scannow, adding or removing registry keys, nothing worked. please guys, have provided screenshots of error in dsim tools , error in windows update. !

there many reasons why might receive error message when updating on windows 10, but common errors can fixed following steps below:

method 1: run windows built-in troubleshooter

this troubleshooter automatically diagnose , repair common problems windows update.

1. click on start, search control panel , click on it.

2. on control panel window, search troubleshooting and click on it.

3. on left pane, click on view all. select windows update.

4. click on next , follow on-screen instructions.

if didn't trick, proceed method 2.

method 2: manually reset windows update components

the issue might occur due corruption in windows update component files. suggest manually reset windows update components, refer steps on article.
