Access Back-end database lives in a Drop-box location. - Microsoft Community

company using split (front-end/back-end) database front-end on individual computers , back-end on drop-box.  seems working, need know if there problems should expect drop-box hosting back-end in multi-user environment.  have set record-locking "edited records".

how linking end? understanding way dropbox works, downloads copy of file locally tries maintain reconciliation between multiple users. in other words, don't think work way want to.

suggest test. have 2 people access database simultaneously. have each user make change in record (can different records). have each user close app. have third party reopen app , check see if both changes saved database. were, appear process works. if 1 or other of saved changes not appear know scenario won't work.

personally, think won't work. access requires stable connection between fe , be. that's why access doesn't work wifi.

better option put backed in azure.
