My Lumia 950 XL camera doesn't work. It makes a noise the lens as - Microsoft Community

when open camera this emits noise , not allow taking pictures. on occasions works in few. in app center of opinions , seen people happens same. makes me think might of software.

the error reported through insider hub app.

is else happening or past you?

is noise physically coming device or talking shutter sound when take photo? can share screenshot of error seeing?

i suggest try resetting device , if problem still reproduces have hardware issue, note delete personal data prior resetting backup phone. here's troubleshooting article on how reset phone:
