How do I extend the selection of a fill range down 300,000 rows? - Microsoft Community

i trying implement approach of converting multiple columns single column.  requires inserting column before first , filling first column numbers 1 through number of rows of data, in case 300,000.  trying figure out how use autofill , select full range couple keys vice holding mouse below spreadsheet day pages down selecting rows.

in a1 type 1   in a2 type 2

in name box type a1:a300000 , enter

edit>fill>series>step value>1>ok
