Sync Edge without Microsoft or domain account? - Microsoft Community

i have microsoft account, linked onedrive , office 365. however, on both desktop , laptop, sign in local accounts only.

due reasons, attempting setup edge first time, syncing across both windows machines , android phone.  on phone, each ms app has it's own ms login, on windows machines, edge apparently won't setup sync unless sign computer microsoft account.

is there way around that?

my concerns switching using microsoft account sign computer several:
loss of connectivity, still able log computer?

data security, there data have not want go through or microsoft , exists on 1 of computers + backup. still case if switch?

if switch login, use existing windows profile (including applications, settings , data), or have rebuild , import existing data, settings, etc, over?

have onedrive , office365 don't use either of them? there nothing in onedrive?
