Some Excel files cause a 'serious error' when you try to open - Microsoft Community

we have run issue when trying open excel file seems affect computers.

on 1 of these computers when try open it get's far , either gets stuck on opening loading loading .net framework or crashes , closes straight away if try open file again prompts open read-only because locked editing you.  sometimes error message:

the same file opens fine no issues on other computers.

the similarity can think of issue seems affect users on windows 10 have done fall version 1709 update.  else can use fine.

i can open other .xlsx spreadsheets fine no problem.

can't seem make sense of it.  appreciated!!

fall creator update has been causing issues. below on 1 computer , let me know feedback.

login windows new user profile , check whether problem still happens.

if doesn't solve problem, need execute few other options.
